Part of the business is to provide Coaching Services.

These come in two categories:-

  1. Practical Coaching for Teams / Clubs / Individuals
  2. Supplying / Developing Coaching Material

1. Practical Coaching

This is where Clyde works with organisation or individuals to help them in all the forms of the sport. This can be done either home, abroad or on Clyde's door step - South East of London.

Coaching can be in the form of Practical or Theoretical for the individual or team in all areas of personal and team skills for the game of Canoe Polo.

Clyde is renowned for having something of an alternative approach to coaching with his Accelerated Learning Techniques.

2. Coaching Material

The development of Coaching resources is a very time consuming task and in time we hope to be able to offer a complete compliment of Coaching Publications and Video's soon.

bulletIn the pipeline is a coaching manual, targeted at the broad base of Players, Coaches, Trainers and Youth Group Organisers. The level is from beginner to intermediate. There is also a chapter about how to take it more seriously to further develop players at the top end. In this manual there are clear illustrations and photographs and many drills to practice in each section. More details including a publication date to follow......
bulletThe script for a series of videos is already being worked on. If anyone would like to get involved in the production of this including, video, sound and post production (editing), then please give us a shout. Just remember, there isn't much money in this sport !
bulletCurrently we have an ever expanding collection of videos which were filmed at several major competitions.
bulletWe have a very limited number of Clyde's original Polo Skills Book in stock. There are no intensions to do any more re-prints after this third re-print runs out. To date there are at least 1000 in circulation with translations in Danish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Refereeing Resources:-

bulletFrom an original ideal by Danny Gusterson and Andy Pumphrey, New for 2004 we now have new and much improved,  high quality MS Power Point Presentation consisting of over 45 Slides. This provides a great opportunity to present the rules in a more friendly way rather than reading the rules word for word out of a book.

bulletNew Multiple Choice Exams in line with the BCU Grade 4,3 and 2 systems. Grade 4 and 3 are on one exam with differing pass marks while the Grade 2 has it's own paper.
Quick Marking Sheet available with corresponding Exam.
bulletA subjective Grade 1 Exam is also available with photo questions.
bullet"Refereeing Moments" a DVD played via a computer DVD drive shows typical mistakes which occur even at the highest of level of games. This High quality product is a discussion point to get the candidates talking about real life refereeing.
